How To Install Retractable Fabric Awnings

Your new fabric awning will arrive completely pre-assembled* including mounting brackets. Awnings are usually mounted to a 2 x 8 wood board you supply. We supply large galvanized lag bolts to hold the awning brackets to the 2 x 8, but you will supply the appropriate fasteners to mount the 2 x 8 to the house. Professional installers will cap this board with aluminum, but if you do not have access to this, we offer an extruded PVC cap; check the appropriate option on our store page. Warranty covers the product only, not wind or other weather-related damage. Never leave your home with the awning extended. Never leave your awning out during inclement weather like wind, rain, sleet, hail, snow etc.

* Model 1 awnings over 23 feet wide are shipped in two sections and require on-site assembly.
