Select the width and projection from the tables below.
Prices shown include the awning frame and fabric only — no hood, tray, or back unless noted. If you want extra protection for the fabric, choose a table that includes a hood and/or tray.

Example: An awning with a 12 ft width and 9 ft 10 in projection (extension from wall) is priced at $5,497 — awning only, no hood/tray/back.
ℹ️  Width is measured end-to-end of the cassette. Projection is measured from the back of the cassette to the front bar. Units can be built to any decimal precision; tolerances are ¼ in. Fabric is Northport; Vario Valance fabric is Textilene 80.

Fabric Tray

A continuous aluminum tray that runs the full length of the awning beneath the fabric roll. It supports the fabric when extended (no sagging) and shields it from dirt and debris when closed. Betterliving's tray is continuous — unlike traditional 'C' cradles spaced every few feet — giving uniform support across the entire width.

Hood (Top Cover)

An aluminum cover that sits on top of the fabric roll, protecting it from rain, snow, bird droppings, and falling debris. Strongly recommended if there is no soffit directly above the awning, and essential when a motor is installed since motors are sensitive to moisture. If your awning installs under a soffit, the soffit itself acts as a hood.

Back Cover

Protects the rear of the awning where it meets the wall — the most exposed point on a roof-mounted installation where snow and water can run down and collect. The back cover always includes the hood, and both pieces connect together to fully enclose the fabric roll from above and behind. Essential for roof-mount installs in snow or rain-heavy regions.

With Tray
The fabric tray is a continuous aluminum channel that runs beneath the full length of the fabric roll. It prevents sagging when the awning is extended and protects the fabric from dirt and debris when closed. Recommended for any exposed installation.

With Tray and Hood
